The 5 Benefits of a Toy Library

The 5 Benefits of a Toy Library

Categories : Information

PlayWhizz Toy Library assists Parents, Care-givers, Therapists and other related people with the tools to aid development of children through play. PlayWhizz provides access to a collection of educational resources (e.g. toys, puzzles, games and other learning activities) to assist in the development of children on a hiring basis. However the benefits go even further than development and education: here are five benefits of a toy library for your child and the whole family.

1.  It saves you money

Quality toys are expensive and can easily lose their value, however, the cost of hire with PlayWhizz is very affordable. The current membership joining fee is only R150 which includes 5 units and an annual membership fee thereafter is R100. Each product has allocated units between 1 and 7 (R10 to R70).

2. It Keeps your child or children engaged

Children can easily get bored of toys; and that Christmas or Birthday present may only be exciting for a few weeks or months before it gets forgotten about. However, a toy library lets your child have constant access to new toys (and the related activities) every 3 or 4 weeks keeping children engaged and curious to try new things. We will happily give you tips on how to use the toys and you can read more about them on our website.

3. It inspires creativity in your child

Items such as the playbox are multi-faceted and multi-sensory allowing many creative, imaginative journeys to happen in your lounge or playroom. Stimulation with new toys stimulates little minds and creates hours of play and learning.

4. It saves you storage space in your house

Toys can easily pile up in your house, but by hiring and exchanging toys this doesn’t happen. Over time toys can get scattered and lost around the house but with something hired this problem is solved.

5. Let’s you be present with your child and enjoy quality time together

PlayWhizz toys and activities encourage togetherness with you and your child, enjoying quality time playing and learning. This is also how memories are made and relationships with your children are grown.  This time together will also be likely to calm your child as he or she engages and focuses on the one task at hand without distraction.

“Play is not a break from learning.  It is endless, delightful, deep, engaging, practical learning. It’s the doorway into the child’s heart!” – Vince Gowmon
